"Kinda Blue-Green" for String Orchestra was written in 2005 by Sarah E. Miller. This work was underwritten by the Composer in the Schools program of the American Composers Forum. It was premiered by the Stillwater (MN) H.S.Orchestra, Jerry Jones, Director. The melodies in it explore the melodic expressiveness of the major seventh as an interval, the one dissonant interval not used melodically by Leonard Bernstein in West Side Story.
